Training and Socialisation
Training your dog can be hard work! We've all had those moments when we just want to pull our hair out when Fido is refusing point blank to come back - and it's always when you're running late. However we believe that all dogs are trainable more often than not it just needs a fresh pair of eyes and a new approach.
We have worked with many different dogs over many years and have a wealth of experience and techniques to help you get the most out of your dog and to really enjoy the best parts of your furry best friend.
Whether it's puppy training, helping you start your puppy off on the right foot or with specific areas such as:
Pulling on the lead / walking to heal
Lack of recall
Jumping up / constant attention
The first session is about observing, getting to know you and the dog and understanding what you want to achieve. From this we can give immeadiate advice and put together a realistic plan, equiping you with the skills you need to succeed.
Training is provided as 121 sessions in your home but we can also provide seperate training sessions as part of doggy day care which will help your dog's socialisation skills. At the Wellie Boot Dog Walker we believe that socialisation is just as much a part of training as teaching your dog to sit or to come back on command and what's more they're never to old to learn.
Whether it's playful puppies needing to learn the social order to more nervous dogs who need coaxing out of their shells socialising your dog is invaluable. Bringing them to The Wellie Boot Dog Walkers they are in a safe and controlled environment where they can meet other friendly dogs and learn important life skills.
